Intel GMA 3600 Driver For Windows 7 x64

gma 3600 drivers for windows 7 x 64

Introduction :

Well it is too weird that Intel doesn't made GMA 3600 drivers for Windows 7 x64. People who've installed windows 7 x64 on their netbooks, can't easily reinstall  32 bit version. Basically the problem is most of the netbooks don't have any CD/DVD ROM and purchasing an external DVD drive cost a lot. You can also use Bootable USB for OS re-installation but it will cause data loss. Even I also have a  Samsung netbook with GMA 3600 on board graphics and it has windows 7 x64 on it. I know that weird feeling, when you searched 1,000 times on google and you didn't find any solution. After messing 6 months with these drivers finally I solved this issue, I made these drivers compatible with 64 bit windows.

    1. Sorry, but these drivers only works with GMA 3600 only.
It doesn't work with every on board graphics.
If you think, you have GMA 3600 onboard Graphics. then right click on My Computer and then click on Properties. A new window will open, now scroll down and you can see your version of windows.

      I hope it helps.

    1. Yeah Sure, but do you know c#, core java or any other core languages. It's developer stuff. I am tryin my best for these drivers to work on windows 8.
But there's no official drivers available for windows 8 even for 32 bit. So I am doing it from scratch.
I'll made it very soon. :p

  7. Are you sure you "modified" anything?

This is bit-for-bit the same 8.15.8.1050_Beta5 driver that's been floating around. Kinda worked for me on a fresh Win64 SP1 install, with some flakiness (frequent BSOD). After I applied all updates, the driver just BSODs at boot time for me. No bueno.

  8. hmm! I don't know about that but I'm sure that I tweak these drivers to work with x64 versions without any fresh installs. But thanks for telling me about that too!

    1. Yeah, we can't solve the bug with office 2010 because it's a heavy app for a netbook, you should try turning off aero, I can help you to solve problem with VLC. Tell me your problem, I will give you detailed solution. :noprob:

    1. It's too easy to fix vlc, just open up preferences (ctrl+p)
now open video tab. Now click on the dropdown next to "Output" and select "Windows GDI video output" from the list, save the settings and it's fixed now.
Just play any video and it will work fine.

  15. Dear Abhi,
great work! I have an N2800 4GB Windows 7 x64 and it works since I reduced the used RAM via msconfig to 2,99 GB. But the much bigger problem for me is: direct3d doesn't work !!! And thats a real problem if you want to see HD-Videos. Under x32 it works perfectly. Under x64 with your drivers I get a black screen or fragments if I use direct3d for instance in VLC or SMPLAYER or direct3d test programs. The sound works fine anyway. DXDIAG shows everything is fine, haha.

Is it possible for you to solve that problem? Without a solution the driver is worthless for me because I mostly use my netbook to view HD videos. And with other outputs than direct3d the films are in better quality or slow down ...

    Thanks for helping us!!!
